Heads up: New Variance and Barrel Aged Saison Coming Up!
Hear ye hear ye beer enthusiasts far and wide! There's good news bubbling away at Island Brewing Company. This is to let you know that the next rotating IPA in the Variance series is indeed happening: This -- incredibly the 13th in our Variance series -- will be flowing bold and bright from our taps into your glass and gullet at the end of the month. This light bodied gem will highlight Hopsteiner's experimental hop #7270 and is destined to strike a special chord in your craft beer soul.
And yes, you are correct, naturally, there is more: The brain and brawn trust that are our brewers are also bringing you the labor of love that is our Barrel Aged Saison which will, beer gods willing, be on tap and in bottles Wednesday, March 15th. This beauty has been aging to perfection for the last eight months and is ready, set, go in the race to dazzle. Mark your calendars now for that little bit of specialness.
This winter has been one for the books: thanks for everyone for braving the elements and coming out. We've had a bevy of stellar musical acts, each seeming to out do the last. March is also looking pretty stacked with the likes of Riverside, the Excellent Tradesmen, Big Tweed and more. Cruise over to our Calendar section on the website for upcoming times and dates.
Has it already been a year? The answer is a resounding 'Yes.' So it is we are announcing the 3rd Annual Slow Bike Race. The idea again is to keep your balance while staying within the course and to travel as slowly as possible. There will be victory. There will be imbalance. There will be a beer or two. Saturday April 1st. Watch this space for details. Fun for the whole family. Kids division too!
And we probably forgot a bunch of other things, but stop by the brewery and we'll tell you the rest of them.
Cheers,
The Island Brewing Team
